Environmental Planning & Compliance

RCI has extensive experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing the federal (NEPA) and state environmental documentation processes (Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, Categorical Exclusions, Major Investment Studies, System Extension Studies, and Feasibility Studies).

  • Prepare, review and manage federal (NEPA- EIS, EA, Categorical Exclusion) and state (EO 215) documents
  • Provide consultations to agencies on streamlining opportunities, exemptions on regulatory approvals, and action thresholds
  • Coordinate approvals and obtain consensus with state and federal agencies (NJDEP, ACOE, FTA, FAA, Port Authority of NY&NJ, EPA, USF&W, USCG, etc.)
  • Manage large and small projects undergoing environmental review
  • Review large EIS / EAs for NEPA compliance
  • Ensure compliance to mitigation commitments during construction
